Nostalgia by GingeredZ

I travel.  I take any opportunity to fill my soul with places and smells that lead to new adventures and experiences that only travel opens ur eyes to. I lived in a such a closed space that in  order for me to broaden my scope.of vision i had to be shaken out of my reverie. And still I learn - every trip every step out has been my learning curve .

Airports stress me out - from bags to immigration to visas - all of it - and everytime I tell myself breathe , you got this , it's a stepping stone .... and every time I falter

Maybe it's the age of which I am at or the fact that I travel alone and I am ok with that - it's the unknown that somewhat  scares me but drives my yearning to feel .... I need to be unbrave

Feel what .... the essence of being alive - the delving into the unknown - the freedom of choice

My fixation with pain is not unknown to those who know me - my piercings are a testament to that and yet many frown upon it and I can see the judgment in faces , for me it marks my journey my healing my faith .... I unfortunately cannot self harm ... I don't have the stomach for that but controlled pain I can take and my tolerance is high.... I don't push as I used to ... I have channeled that need into finding adventures and I will try almost anything...

I am so scared of forgetting , I used to kiss my dad on his cheek 500000 times when I saw him....I was too afraid that.if one of us was no more I wouldn't miss them .... but I do ... I used to do that for my boys... now my eyes soak them in and I live in the blink of an eyelid ...it's where they ...live on...  so my ig is filled with moments spent - not to show off but to serve as my reminders of my bravery my steps my fears ....

A friend said to me recently u need to have heart to give and it's in giving we find peace ... it's in the giving that we get duas and it's from duas ... we prosper

Spaces and places ... dream catches and coasters ... tell a tale of.wonder and epicness... in my quiet of times I look at my wall and smile ... I traveled

  1. Good to read up on your thoughts as always. Regarding your piercings, I would like to read in detail the processes of going through airport customs 😂 surely there’s always a story there each time 😂

  3. Wow, your vlog really resonates with me. The way you describe travel as a means to expand your horizons and enrich your soul is beautifully expressed. It’s amazing how you’ve turned your challenges with airports and the unknown into a steppingstone for growth and learning. I can totally relate to the tension of facing new experiences alone—it’s a mix of fear and excitement that’s hard to put into words.

Thank you for sharing such a genuine part of your life with us. Your experiences and insights are a reminder to embrace both the highs and lows of our own adventures. Keep exploring, keep sharing, and keep finding beauty in every step of your journey.

    Love you Z♥️♥️♥️

  14. I want to be unbrave and unstrong sometimes too but I don't think we can be. Just appreciate the blessings and opportunities... and especially the adventures and those we meet because of the brave choices we've made. X

  16. With each step, each trip, each airport and journey you are one step closer to being fearless! Look at how far you have come, not how far you have left to go. You ooze strength, perseverance and resilience! Your courage is your triumph! And these pieces that you write so beautifully are your triumph!

  18. Life is a journey. Enjoy the ride. We are never too old to learn and experience. We also need to ensure the path we are taking does not become our destination, we need our soul to be fulfilled . The soul is endless and limitless

  19. It's always nice to read of your experiences. Really still wish I could see you, thank goodness for social media you don't feel toooo far away. Stay blessed and safe as always. Forget about the negative people, focus on yourself and the "age" has nothing to do with it 😝. Miss you my friend.

  20. I think we discover only by doing. That is, discover ourselves and the world around us.

And we do by writing, by travelling (including navigating airports), and by the myriad experiences we open ourselves up to (including piercings).

    Keep doing, Z, keep discovering...T
