Like water that flows GingerZ and Imaginari

The one thing about time is that once passed .... moments cannot be relived or redone ....
it can be revisited but cannot be rewritten.

You can wander along the paths of memory, feeling echoes of what once was the joy, the pain, the regret, but no matter how vivid the recall, the present remains untouched by it.

How do we change what we can't? Words spoken... utterances and unspoken words... linger. They float in the spaces between, etched in our memories—some bringing comfort, others feeling like stones weighing us down. That weight adds on, keeps longing for a moment passed ...

Time has essence.
But how do we discard the past when it clings so tightly to our very soul, woven into every part of who we've become? To let go is to unlearn the weight, but where do we place what once defined us?
Is that what defines us ?
Shapes us into the humans we have evolved into....
The coldness, the misfiring, the misgivings.... how do we make it better ... can we use this time to better that time, then?

The warmth, the security... It finds me...in my silences and my laughter...and with it my doubts...So I long to forget to remember...
Time has blessed me ... I see in the eyes of my offspring... their innocence warms my soul and roots me firmly in the present, their gift to me, the remembrance of self, before you...

We leave behind our footprints or legacy... in the hope that their time will be used with value. Filling each day with meaning...living with intention...valuing the simple things...the prayers at dawn while the world sleeps, being present in the moment, listening to that special voice note of their young voices saying words of love...validating and appreciating... seconds that turn into ..... the past.
And these memories will be revisited often as we move forward in love and gratitude.

  2. The rear view mirror in a car is the lesson from the past. The windshield is the future. Always remember the past, never let it control our future. Use the wisdom gained to empower and guide. Let not fears or past mistakes be the guide. Instead let it be the lesson. GingerZ your offspring needed you to go through what you are going through so they can ,with your guidance pave a better future to them.

  5. So eloquently put!
Time, for me, has always been both a balm and a blade. It softened my edges
when I became a mother and sharpened my resolve as an educator, a wife, a
woman. I have learned that we do not escape our past. We carry it,
transform it, allow it to teach us grace. I cannot rewrite what has been,
but I can live now in a way that honours it. There is only flow, and I am
learning to move with it, not against it.

  9. Your closing where you mention finding that warmth and grounding through your children, brings hope and healing. I deeply felt that.
The way you explore holding on and letting go speaks to my soul. Beautiful piece

  11. Time defined...Past, Present, Future...All these roads of time, of life are intertwined. Let's use our past as reflection, our future as building blocks/stepping stones, but most importantly our present as a gift, and hence our time well spent, not on worldly things will add value to our lives.
Gratitude & appreciation makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow!

  14. “There were ancient narratives too. It was a new discovery to find that these stories were, after all, about our own lives, were not distant, that there was no past or future, that all time is a now-time centred in the being. The “centred being” reaches out toward the outer circles called “past” and “future.” So the ‘now’ is a giving and a receiving between the inner and outer reaches, but the enormous difficulty is to achieve refinement in reciprocity, because the wheel, the spiral, is balanced so exquisitely.”

  16. I think everyone has a moment in time that we wish we could change, do things differently… time .., the one certainty in life , like death ! We are in the present because of the past . Looking at my children makes me appreciate all things good and bad , they make the pain and tears of the past worthwhile. Live in the moment is the best and safest I think !

  17. Time flies past and cannot be regained, but I does leave its shadow behind.

Word get lost, people and what they did get forgotten. One day you are 27 and planning for someday. Then quietly, without you noticing, time has creeped past and that someday is today. And then suddenly that someday is yesterday long gone.

It may have been the best of times or for some the worst of times but it was time that was HAD.

Time supppsedly changes people but in reality people are exactly what and how they were then.

The weight of heavy stones will definitely pull you down. Maybe we should just cut the ropes attached to what's pulling us down and just let it sink to the bottom to be lost forever. "Freeing" us.

The footprints we leave behind might get covered or washed away, but in reality those footprints linger on.

Enjoy the moments , the memories, our darling little babies, cos it's gonna be all that we are gonna have eventually. Memorable moments. When the world has forgotten you, your memories will always be there.
Keep the pics, keep the voice notes, cos when time and everything else
Has flown past, these moments will be like valuable treasures in your hand.

    3. We learn to appreciate the past for it teaches us many lessons, good and bad. We move forward and sometimes step back to revisit it, sometimes lingering longer than we should. After all it is our journey!

  18. I'm grateful for the lessons time has taught me. I pray that I will not forget them and that I will pass them on to my princess. Sometimes I want time to go by quickly, that's usually during the school terms and at I want time to slow down during school holidays so that I can savor my holidays. But I personally feel I need to make the most of both and not value one more than the other.
